Our Review

Redmond are not exactly a well-known brand, but with a little research we were able to determine that they produce high quality, durable household appliances and that customers have been very happy with most of them, so we were quite optimistic about the results that we would get with this multi cooker.

First of all, let’s go over the appearance of this multi cooker. It has clearly been designed to be stylish enough to fit well in the modern kitchen, so this is a plus point. At the front of the multi cooker you will see the digital touch control panel. This details the huge number of different cooking functions, as well as allowing you to control the temperature, the timer by hours and minutes, the timer delay, the reheat function, the quick cook function, the keep warm function and the menu function.

What we really liked about the touch control panel is that it was so easy to use. The buttons are very responsive and the options are clearly laid out, so we had no issues selecting the program that we wanted to use and setting out preferences. The great thing about this particular multi cooker is that it has a huge 45 different cooking programs.

We tested out a couple of the programs to see what results we would get. First of all, we decided to try out the soup function. We opted for a basic vegetable soup recipe. Once we had prepped and added all of the ingredients, we simply had to wait for the timer to tell us when it was ready. It didn’t take as long as we expected and we were really impressed with the results. The flavours were much more intense than a pan cooked soup.

Next, we opted to try a spaghetti Bolognese by using the slow cooker function. Again, we were really impressed with the flavour quality. The minced beef had no fat to it and it was very tender and the sauce tasted much richer than it usually would. We have no complaints at all about either of the programs that we tried and we anticipate that the other programs are equally as impressive.

Along with the multi cooker being very simple to use, we were really impressed with the amount of accessories that come with this model. Along with the multi cooker itself, you get a recipe book, a spoon, a paddle, a measuring cup and a steaming basket. For the price that you can expect to pay for this multi cooker, this is a great deal.

The only issue we had with this multi cooker is that there is no see through lid. We found that this could make judging the progress of your meal quite difficult and could lead to food being burned or undercooked. However, this is probably a bit of a trial and error process and the timers make things much easier.

Overall, we were very satisfied with this multi cooker from Redmond. It is ideal for kitchens of any sise, easy to operate, has a very generous number of programs and is perfect for those who have no experience with multi cookers to those with plenty of experience. It is highly recommended by us.
